Have you ever bought a stamp set then wondered why you bought it? Well that happened to me with the “Way to Goat” stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue (June 2020-May 2021) I received it, then put it aside to work on other cards and paper craft projects and totally forgot about it.
When I pulled it out again, I wondered why I bought it at all. However, once I started playing with this set, it quickly reminded me how much I love these cute little goats. There is just so much personality in the pictures and I love the sentiments that are included.
I love what G.O.A.T. stands for and I can think of so many ways to use this. After all, who doesn’t know someone who fits that description. As I type this, I think this would also make a wonderful retirement card. I’ll have to make one up soon.
This was the first card I made. Doesn’t that goat look like he just ate the cake and makes no apology for it. The inside of the card says “Happy Birthday you old goat” from the same stamp set. I love how it all came together.
Supplies used – Whisper White thick card stock, Basic Black card stock for the Matting. The background is from the 2019-2021 6×6″ Designer Series paper and the ribbon used is Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
This was another card I made using the other images in the set. I love the eyes on the smaller image. The inside of the card says “If things really do get better with Age, then you’re approaching Perfection. Happy Birthday” This was taken from the “Approaching Perfection” stamp set which I chose as a freebie from the upcoming Sale-a-bration list of freebies. I can see myself using this set over and over again as there are numerous sentiments that can be used for all sorts of celebrations.
