Are you excited to see the new Mini Catalogue?

I know when a new Stampin’ Up! catalogue comes out, it is always exciting to flip through the pages to see all the new products available. I sit down with a coffee and a pencil. As I go through it, page my page, I start a “wish list” by circling items that catch my eye. Well starting Jan 4, 2022, the new mini Catalogue goes live at the same time as the Sale-a-bration promotion starts. How cool is that? During Sale-a-bration, you can earn FREE STUFF with every qualifying purchase and who doesn’t love that? Today I wanted to share with you a sneak peak at a few cards I made using some of the beautiful Designer Series Paper that will be available in the new year.

As a Demonstrator, I have the advantage of being able to purchase products a month before they become available to the public. This is just one of the many perks of becoming a demonstrator. Another perk is being able to purchase those same products at a 20% (or more) discount. If you would like to find out more about becoming a demonstrator, CLICK HERE to contact me. I would love to welcome you to my team of “Canadian Stampers” and be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

So that being said, my wish list for the new catalogue, included purchasing the FLOWERING TULIPS Stamp and die bundle along with the FLOWERING FIELDS Designer Series Paper. Both can be found on Page 15 of the new January-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. I am not a fan of winter so when I saw these, it just screams spring to me. I wanted to start with the lovely paper and some simple stamping. There are so many colours and patterns to choose from.

This first card was made with the FLOWERING FIELDS DSP covering the front of the card. I stamped a couple of the lovely tulip images along with the sentiment from the same stamp set on a 2″ x 5 1/2″ strip of Basic White card stock and added 1/4″ strip of the Evening Evergreen card stock on each side before adhering to the card front with dimensionals.

My card is done, and how easy was that? This card is perfect for a novice crafter and yet is looks lovely.

This card was as easy to make as the first card. The DSP is adhered to the front of the card as my base. I then took a 3″ x 4″ piece of card stock and stamped my sentiment and images before adhering it to the Poppy Parade card stock as a mat around the paper. To add a little more, I wrapped it in the REAL RED MINI RUFFLED ribbon and tied a knot to the front. I then popped dimensional’s on the back before adhering to the card front. Again, super easy to make with just a couple of extra steps.

Just by adding a bit of ribbon, it just takes the card to a added level to the overall look of the card. Easy right?

Now for this card, I made a fancy fold card but again, I let the paper do most of the work. I added the flowered paper to the front and for the inside, I used the back of the flowered paper. I also wrapped some ribbon along the edge for a little added interest before adhering to the inside of the card. My images and sentiment were stamped on a 3″ x 4″ piece of Basic White card stock, then adhered to the Gorgeous Grape mat. It matches perfectly. The inside of the card was done the same way and is positioned so when the card is closed you don’t see the white until you open the card.

Again, I let the paper shine with just a little bit of stamping. All the sentiments and images are from the FLOWERING TULIPS stamp set.

So there you have it, three cards where the paper does most of the work. As you can see from each picture, I added the lovely designer series paper to all the envelope flaps for added interest. I love how the colours just pop and I cannot wait to play with the coordinating dies to make additional cards. Hint, Hint, the dies allow you to make 3D flowers and who doesn’t love that? I cannot wait to create using the stamps and dies.
