Anniversary Card

April 27, 2022
by Susan Beale

27 Apr

I love making anniversary cards. It’s just a great way to express love and we all need that right? Today I would like to show you this beautiful card I made for a customer of mine. For this card I have used some retired products and some new products from Stampin’ Up! I love how you can do that and they all coordinate beautifully. I first saw this card which was posted on Pinterest by Donna Ross from www.stampedsofisticates.com. It was so pretty I decided to CASE it. For those who don’t know, CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything.

To Make this card

I first took my card base and scored it at 4 1/4″, then folded and burnished it with my bone folder. I then took my second piece of card stock and ran it through my Cutting and Embossing machine using the Ornate Floral embossing folder. I just love this pattern for backgrounds on cards. It just adds that little bit of texture to your card front. I then used the Scallop Contours die to cut out the white sentiment piece. Putting all that aside, I then punched out a number flowers and leaves to decorate with. I then stamped my sentiment from the Love and Happiness stamp set to the basic white piece.

To put it all together,

I first adhered the embossed card stock to my card front with multipurpose glue. I then adhered my sentiment piece the to coloured vellum. I added Tear & Tape strips to the back the vellum before adhering to the card front just to give it a good stick to the embossed design. I then arranged my flower and leaves around the two corners until I was happy with it and adhered them to the card front using glue and glue dots. Gems were added to the center of the flowers for a little added bling.

For the inside piece, I stamped my greeting from the Love and Happiness set and adhered it to the inside of the card.

Supplies used.
