Two cards – One set of dies

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you how you can make two cards using just one set of dies. Now I know a lot of dies can be used to do this, but if you are looking for a simple way that have a little added pizazz, these dies could be for you. After all, no one needs to know how simple this is, right?

I had purchased the Split Card Textured Dies a while ago, then got busy with some Christmas projects so put it aside for a bit. But today is the day and as you can see below, these two dies add some lovely detail when they are cut out.

For my first card, I used the die to cut out the criss cross background in Soft Succulent. I glued a piece of the Winter Wonderland designer series paper which was part of the last Sale-a-bration promotion. This lovely paper is now retired but the paper is so pretty I couldn’t resist. Any paper you have on hand would work and there are so many pretty papers Stampin’ Up! has to choose from.

I then stamped, coloured and die cut the floral image out from the Blessings of Home bundle. I just love this floral image, it has so much detail.

I stamped my greeting, also from the found in the same bundle, and then adhered the flowers to the front of the card with dimensional’s

How easy was that? I haven’t decided what bling I will add to the card as yet, but it needs a little extra zing, so will add that later.

For my second card, I used the back of the Storybook Gnomes designer series paper and cut out the second die. The paper gives my card a completely different look.

Again I stamped, coloured and die cut out two or the other floral images from the Blessings of Home bundle.

I adhered the first image flat and popped up the second image with dimensional’s for added pop. of course a little tied knot it the Soft Succulent ribbon ties my flowers together to make a bouquet.

For my greeting, I punch out two labels, from the Lasting Labels punch, one in basic white and the other is Soft Succulent. I stamped my greeting and criss crossed the two labels for a different look. Once adhered together I popped that up with dimensional’s as well.

For both of my envelopes, I will add the matching DSP to the flaps in the back and I will stamp a partial floral image to the front of the envelopes as well. Pretty envelopes will hold pretty cards, don’t you agree?
