Blessings From Home meets Love & Happiness

January 11, 2022
by Susan Beale

11 Jan

As Covid continues to spread, we are experiencing another wave of lock downs in my area. So what better way to occupy my time, then to craft. Today, while staying home I decided to pull together some stamps, paper, ink etc and make a few cards. I love crafting and can spend hours in my craft room. Does that happen to you?

I recently purchased the LOVE & HAPPINESS and the BLESSINGS OF HOME bundles. I have to say, I am so impressed with both of them and can see myself using them over and over again.

For these cards, I used both bundles. The floral images are from the Blessings of Home along with one of the sentiments. The two smaller sentiments are from the Love & Happiness Bundle. For the inside of Husband and wife cards, I added “Happy Anniversary my love” from the same bundle. I used some left over Designer Series Paper from the Ever Eden Collection, which sadly is no longer available. It’s too bad, this paper is gorgeous so I am happy I still have some left. Colouring was done using my So Saffron blender pens for the flowers and the Soft Succulent blender pens for the leaves. Of course, some bling was also added using Wonderful Gems and gold shimmer ribbon. To finish them off, I added matching DSP to the envelope flaps. I have to say I love that look on an envelope. It just brings it all together.

SUPPLIES USED

The LOVE & HAPPINESS not only includes the stamp set but also the adorable heart shaped embossing folder I love the heart in the middle and the coordinated heart die, is the perfect size to cut it out. The other dies can be used to cut out the hearts, flowers or sentiment labels. Just look at all those greetings for weddings, anniversaries and Valentine’s Day. I particularly like the stamps “For my Wife” or “For my Husband” They are so simple but they make their own statement.

The BLESSINGS OF HOME bundle have some beautiful greetings as well but I love how the floral stamps can be cut out with the coordinating dies. Although I didn’t use them on these cards, there are all sorts of leafy/floral dies to add to your projects as well. Very versatile.
