Today I wanted to show you how you can make a selection of cards without using a lot of supplies.
So aside from your basic card stock and colouring tools, I used the following supplies; Unbounded Beauty designer series paper, the Wanted to Say dies and the new Fully Flowers Ephemera Pack I made up these six cards. I have to say, there are four different Ephemera Packs to choose from and they are all filled with plenty of pre-cut options to add to your cards or scrapbook pages. They are also very inexpensive at just $11 per pack, so don’t disregard them.
I decided to create three different designs and keep the cards simple but to show some flexibility in the designs.
The first two cards are a landscape design and I love the combination of the floral and white space.
With this card design I cut a strip of the lovely floral paper and placed it across the top of the card. The small pink strip provides a bit of contrast and is actually the back side of the floral paper. I love two sided designer series paper, it’s so versatile.
I coloured the floral image from the Epherema pack and added it and the leaves with dimensional’s.
My greetings were from the Way to Say dies. I cut out a white background then used the same floral paper as the stripe to cut out the words. You could easily reverse the background with the lettering to create a different look.
For my next two cards I decided to make them as portrait cards for a different look.
For these two cards, I used strips of the back of the floral paper and applied them to the folded side of the card. It provides a nice stripe pattern down the side of the cards.
The flower is also from the Ephemera Pack and this time I coloured the leaves and just outlined the floral image for a different look. I also applied some Wink of Stella to the floral image on all the cards for a little bit of sparkle.
Again with the letters, I used a white background with the pink letters.
For my last set of cards I changed it up a bit, by adding some of the other lovely paper for the card fronts. As you can see the two colours of designer series paper work perfectly together.
I decided to cut the paper using the Perennial Postage stamp dies to create the edging on the rectangles. However you could easily just cut rectangles or use other dies from your supplies.
I only added the smaller floral images from the Ephemera pack this time for a little bit of interest.
For my greetings, this time I did reverse the colours of the wording so the background would match. I also cut out smaller hearts and stars dies from the same die set.
So there you have it, 3 designs but 6 cards to suit a variety of situations. Now, cards deserve a lovely box to put them in I so made up this box as well. As you can see, there is plenty of room to tuck in the envelopes. You could also tuck in some stamps and this would make a wonderful gift, especially for someone who might be house bound.
