Sneak Peak

As a demonstrator, whether you craft as a hobby or run a home based business, we enjoy some perks. One of those perks is attending “demonstrator only” events where you learn new techniques, connect with fellow demonstrators to share ideas and get a sneak peak at new products. As crafters, we all love seeing the new products right? Well demonstrators are no different, we want to see all the new products too!

I recently attended one of these events, called “Creativity Now” It was a virtual event so demonstrators from around the globe could attend. This past weekend I traveled to my brother and sister-in law’s place for a weekend visit. My Sister-in-Law, Lise Taber (www.crittersnink.com) is a fellow demonstrator so we decided to get together to craft while attending this virtual event. Lise invited a few other demonstrators to join us for a total of 5 of us. The morning was busy setting up tables for crafting and as you can see, even the cat wanted to get involved. We enjoyed a pot luck lunch before the event started and then it was time to get crafting.

During the presentations, while I watched, I was also busy fussy cutting all the lovely birds from the Nests of Winter suite collection. As you can see there are many birds to make up some lovely cards.

Here is just a sample of some of the other sheets of designer series paper in the suite.

We made up five different cards during the event, using products from the Nests of Winter Suite products shown below. The stamp set is lovely and the dies offer so many possibilities. The large embossing folder is lovely too and it’s huge, measuring 6″ wide and 8 1/4″ in height. The two bird dies perfectly align with the birds on the top page (above) so it’s easy to die cut those birds out as well.

Although not pictured below, is a cute gift box using the scalloped gift card boxes and the Metallic Enamel effects for a fun look. Now that I am home, I cannot wait to jump in and make more of these lovely cards. Cards can be made up to use for any occasion or you can get a head start on Christmas cards, the choice is yours. As you can see from the cards below, there are numerous possibilities for card making and even scrapbooking.

This lovely suite of products will be available in the new Sept-Dec mini catalogue so you will be able to purchase them when the catalogue goes live on Sept 3. If you are a fellow demonstrator, you will be able to pre-order products wth your demonstrator discount, from the catalogue starting in August. Yet another perk of becoming a demonstrator.
