Getting a head start on Christmas cards

August 22, 2024
by Susan Beale

22 Aug

Today I wanted to show you how I made six quick and easy Christmas Cards. Yes I know it is still summer but I have to make over 50 cards so I am getting a head start. Part of my preorder from the new Sept-Dec mini catalogue included the “A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty Paper” which includes three sheets of double-sided festive Christmas designs on one side and all-purpose patterns on the other. It also includes three sheets of the die-cut Christmas elements I used on my card fronts.

I have to say this is a great way to craft with kids because all the designs can easily be punched out with no die cutting. They worked great on these cards and the only stamping you need to do is the sentiments.

To make these cards, I took one sheet of the double sided specialty paper and a number of of the punch out designs to create the six cards shown below. I stamped my sentiments from a stamp set found in the new catalogue called Sentimental Wishes. I just love the font of these stamps.

To decorate my card fronts with a little added bling, I used the gold textured adhesive back dots and the Real Red and White adhesive back peppermints which will also be available in the new catalogue.
