I really had fun making this card and wanted to show you how you can too. I also wanted to feature the Senior Years stamp set. I am no longer a spring chicken so I can relate to this fun stamp set.
As you can see this stamp set has two cute figures. both male and female. It also have seven sentiments, which are suitable for both birthdays or retirements.
There is no die cut for this set but you can easily stamp the image and then fuzzy cut it out with a pair of Scissors.
Of course you can then colour the image afterwards and who doesn’t love colouring?
Today I am making a birthday card with this set.
To make this card
For your Soft Succulent card base, score at 5 1/2″ and at 2 3/4″ on the long side.
Fold your card in half and then fold the front panel backwards on the score line. .
Adhere the Pattern A pieces to the front panel and the inside of the card as shown.
TIP: When cutting your DSP, make sure your pattern is cut in the right direction so you don’t waste paper.
For the Soft Sea Foam card stock, score along the long side at 3″ and 6″. Fold on the score lines in the same format as your card base.
Attach the DSP pattern B piece to the middle panel. Stamp and/or decorate the two white pieces then adhere to the panels as shown.
My picture was taken before I did that, to show you how it’s positioned.
Fold up the piece to close and add adhesive to the back panel only. Position your card stock so it overlaps the front panel of your card as shown and attach to the inside of card base. Close your card and note how much of the panel overlaps. Only add adhesive to that part and press down on your closed card.
For the front image, I stamped the lady out on some scrap white card stock and using scissors, I cut out the image. I then coloured her and adhered her to the front of the card. I did not use dimensionals because I didn’t want to add any more bulk to the card
And this is your finished card. I am using my block to hold it closed in order to take a picture. This card also stands up beautifully on a table top.
