Mother’s Day Card

Did you know that Mother’s Day is the single biggest reason people send cards? Mother’s Day out sells every other holiday, world wide. That says a lot, since millions of cards are still mailed out every year, despite social media. Have you got your Mother a card yet? Don’t forget!

So for today’s card, I wanted to show you a Mother’s Day Card I made. I am a huge fan of the combination of Pink and Gray and I think the colours compliment each other beautifullly.

I love how simple this card is, with just a splash of elegance. This card has a white card base and Gray Granite mat and a white card front.

I cut out matching leaves in the Gray Granite for contrast. Who says leaves have to be green? The flowers were stamped on our recent Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper, Simply Marbleous and I just love how the swirls in the paper make some nice variations to the flowers.

My sentiment “Hello there” is from the Edens Garden stamp set, and I really like the simplicity of it. I added a strip of the Simply Marbleous paper to my card front and adhered the greeting to that. To finish it off, I added a few Gray matted dots to the card front.

For the inside of my card, I repeated the matting and stamped Happy Mother’s Day in the center. I love the scripting of this sentiment which is from the “Celebrating You” stamp set and it is fast becoming a new favourite due to the sixteen different stamps included in this set.

To bring the outside of the card, inside, I also stamped a couple of leaves in the bottom corner and glued another cut out flower to the inside.

I finished my card off by stamping the envelope with the same flower.

I was so happy to see that the Painted Poppies stamp set is carrying over to the new 2022-2023 annual Catalogue. It is one of my favourite stamp sets along with the Peaceful Moments Stamp and die sets shown below. The two sets compliment each other and I cannot tell you how often I have used the sentiments from the Peaceful Moments Stamp set.

Painted Poppies Stamp Set

Peaceful Poppies stamp and the Painted Labels dies are a beautiful set.

You can cut out leaves, flowers, borders and labels. How versatile is that?
