Well the other day, I was feeling down. It wasn’t anything specific but a combination of everything going on. I was sharing my woes with a friend over the phone and after chatting for a while, we hung up. An hour later, she showed up at my door bringing a smile and snacks. We spent the afternoon forgetting about everything while we snacked, chatted and shared some laughs. I think wine may have been involved as well lol! We don’t get together in person often enough and it really was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. By the time she left, I was back to my usual self, and the weight of the world was gone.
So today, I wanted to say thank you and decided to make up this card to show her my appreciation. She made all the difference.
I am also submitting this card for this week’s Global Design Project #GDP434. I hope it meets the criteria. Here’s the sketch for this week’s challenge.
For my card, I used the larger Daisies for the square part of the sketch. I did some sponging in Soft Seafoam before I adhered the stamped daisies to the card front. To keep with the colour theme, I added some black leaves and heat embossed my greeting in white. I think the inside says it all and I know my friend will smile when she opens this card.
