Country Woods designer series paper meets Thoughtful Wishes

I have to say I am loving the new products from the new 2024-2025 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue and I hope you are too!

Today I would like to show you a few projects I have made. Seriously, this is probably one of my favourite cards I have made so far. I was inspired by Brian King’s card when I saw it on Pinterest and just had to make a similar one.

So here is my version.

I used several new products from the catalogue.

I love, love, love, the whimsical die cut from the Thoughtful Wishes bundle. For this card, one wasn’t enough so I used both Basic White and Pool Party.

The back ground of the card is from the Country Woods designer series paper collection. I love wood backgrounds and this one if multicoloured so it goes with move colours.

My greeting is from the Country Birdhouse stamp set.

I also made up a portrait card, because I wan’t to see if it would also work with the background. I have to say yes, it does. I really love how this works.

To make this card, it is so easy. Trim the paper as 1/2″ intervals on the crossgrain so the small dark lines show between the colours. I cut them in half at 6″ and staggered the strips across my basic white piece. You could also stagger the widths for even different look. After all the strips are glued down, flip over and trim off the access.
