Peek-a-Boo Card

June 28, 2024
by Susan Beale

28 Jun

Are you looking for an easy way to make up multiple cards? Today I would like to show you how to make a very easy Peek-a-Boo card, using designer series paper and a punch.

For these cards I used a new suite of products that I was able to purchase for a recent demonstrate event called Creativity Now. This suite of products are gorgeous so you will have a sneak peak. The Winterly Tree Tops stamp set and the Nests of Winter Designer Series paper will be available to purchase in September’s new Sept – Dec mini catalogue.

So let me show you how I made up these cards.

I took a piece of designer series paper 10 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and folded it in half.

I then used the Heartfelt Hexagon punch and punched out the whole. You will now have two wholes.

I then adhered it to a piece of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card stock. The Designer Series paper now becomes the card front.

Tip: When choosing a patterned paper, make sure the other side of the paper has a direction that works.

I then used the second largest Perennial Postage die and cut out a piece of Basic White Cardstock. You could easily use a rectangle of card stock or any other large die you have, but I like the look of the edges.

After cutting it out, I glued it to the inside so it covers the whole previously punched out.

I then closed the front and stamped my greeting.

Seriously how each was that?

I enjoyed making up these easy cards so much I had to make more. For the cards below, I used the Wildly Flowering designer series paper to make all of these cards. I punched out the greeting portion at the top, the bottom and even on the side for a landscape card. My last card was made up using up all the punched out paper pieces for yet another fun card.
