It’s all in the Details

Good morning Stamping friends.  This past week, we have had some torrential rains along with hail storms and flash flooding around the city.  I swear if it is not wildfires, it’s major storms.  Sadly I have a number of dings on my car due to the recent hail storm.  I am pretty sure that will be costly to fix

Anyway, while all that has been happening, I was happily hiding inside and doing some crafting.  So today I would like to show you a card I made using the Darling Details Stamp and Die bundle.  With so many other products out there, I fear this adorable set, has been overlooked.

For this card I used Very Vanilla card stock as my card base and offset it with the Wild Wheat card stock.  I really love this combination.

I used the lovely die cuts to cut out the border, then threaded the Wild Wheat ribbon through the openings.  I think this creates such a cute border and I love how the small floral cut outs are enhanced by the ribbon behind it. I tied a knot of the same ribbon and added a glue dot to secure.

Tip:  This ribbon is a tweed ribbon so it shreds easily.  In order to thread it through (gently so not to rip the cardstock), I first cut the ribbon end at an angle and ran a lighter flame over the edge to seal the ends.

For the front of my card, I embossed the Very Vanilla with the Cane Weave embossing folder.  I added the floral die cut in Wild Wheat to match the card matting then used the Double oval punch to punch out and stamp my  greeting.   I love the simplicity of this card and didn’t feel the need to add embellishments.

This bundle is great, It includes 22 different stamps and 18 different dies. It is also a  Two-Step Stampin’ set which allows you to layer two or more images to create a final image with extra texture and dimension.  Not all stamps do that!

AND did you notice the two picture frame die cuts.  I cannot wait to use those dies on other cards.
