Make two cards in about five minutes

Sometimes, you just don’t have a lot of time to craft but you need a card… fast! Today I want to share a secret on how anyone can create a card very quickly, regardless of creative ability. What is the secret?

It’s simple, Designer Series Paper! Using these beautiful papers to make cards is so simple that anyone can do it PLUS you don’t need a lot of supplies. Here’s how to make two cards at the same time.

Take a piece of 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock and cut in half on the long side at 5 1/2″. This will give you your two card bases. Score each piece at 4 1/4″ and fold and crease with a bone folder (the side of a ruler will also work) to give it a good clean fold.

Cut two pieces of designer series paper at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to the front of the cards. Cut out a couple of floral images. Add a bit of adhesive to the back and loop some ribbon around, pressing gently to adhere. Add dimensional’s to the back and adhere to the card front. How easy is that, right?

To finish your card, cut a small strip of basic white card stock and stamp a greeting. Adhere to the card front with dimensional’s. You card is finished. Quick right?

OPTIONAL: To add a little extra, add some coloured gems around the floral image. I also painted the flowers with some Wink of Stella which you cannot really see in the picture but it does add a little extra bling.

For the inside, I cut two 4″ x 5 1/4″ pieces of Basic white card stock. I also cut two 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strips of the designer series paper which is the same as the card front. I stamped my greetings and adhered the strips to the edge of the Basic White card stock. I then adhered it to the inside of the cards.

There, you now have to cards completed in very little time.

For my card front, I used the gorgeous LOVELY LINEN designer series paper (See below) which has some beautiful background patterns. There are so many choices and a little goes a long way. My floral images were cut from the WONDERFUL WORLD Bundle, which I chose FREE from the Sale-a-bration brochure after making $120 purchase. Not only does this bundle come with a stamp set but also comes with 12 sheets of patterned paper (2 each of 6 double-sided designs) You cannot go wrong PLUS who doesn’t love choosing FREE STUFF! The ribbon I used was the WHITE CRINKLED SEAM BINDING ribbon.
